Practice Directions 2023

Practice Direction 1 of 2023

This Practice Direction is issued pursuant to section 592 of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 (the Act). It revokes and replaces Practice Direction No. 2 of 2022 dated 2 September 2022 and applies with effect from 20 March 2023 to the following proceedings in the Family Division:

• child protection proceedings; and
• proceedings under the Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003.
